Correct. You should not inject in the chest area. Insulin is best absorbed in fatty tissue, so the abdomen is generally considered the best place to inject. (Avoid the belly button!)

The thighs (preferably middle area) and the back of the arms are also safe places to inject insulin however it might not be as well absorbed in those locations.

Make sure you use a new needle EACH time you inject insulin! (It can become clogged if you re-use needles which can decrease the amount of insulin you are actually getting!)
