Why Am I Hungry When My Sugar Is High?
Glucose in the blood ≠ glucose in the brain.
Sometimes with diabetes, you can feel very hungry even when your blood sugar is already high. The brain may not be able to use that glucose because there isn’t enough insulin to escort it into brain cells for energy.
What’s Going On

- 🚪 Not enough insulin = poor brain fuel entry
- 📣 Brain misreads this as “feed me more!” → cravings
