Rule of 15: Take ~15 g fast carbs → wait ~15 minutes → recheck → repeat if still low → if the next meal is far, eat a snack (carbs + protein/fat).
Timer in game: Start a 15-second clock that represents 15 minutes IRL. When it finishes, recheck.
Fast carbs: juice, regular soda (not diet), glucose tabs/gel, candies like Smarties. Chocolate/peanut butter are too slow for rescue.
